Brown’s Oil and Air has entered into dealer agreements with three very well established and recognized wood pellet manufacturers of premier wood pellets, New England Wood Pellets headquartered in New Hampshire, Corinth Wood Pellets headquartered in Maine, and Energex, headquartered in Quebec, Canada. Their websites offer a great deal of informative and practical information about the wood pellets and the use and benefits of wood pellets as a heating fuel.
"Premier" wood pellets are wood pellets which when burned, leave less than 1% residual ash. Wood pellets classified as "Standard" leave 2% to 4% residual ash. Premium pellets constitute about 95% of current production. Residual ash is used to determine pellet grade because of its effect on the frequency of the maintenance required to remove the ash from the wood pellet stove ash bin and venting system and other stove components where ash may collect in lesser amounts.
